1. Introduction
Sériphe is a web application for authors. It provides tools for writing, characters, locations, lore documents, timelines and mind maps.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data when you use the service, in accordance with the GDPR and applicable data protection laws.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Account data
When you create or access your account, including through Google OAuth, we may collect your name, email address, Google identifier and profile picture.
2.2 Content created in the application
Sériphe stores the content you create in the application, including manuscripts, chapters, drafts, character sheets, locations, lore documents, timelines, mind maps and notes.
This content belongs to you. It is stored so you can access, edit and back it up through the service.
2.3 Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider certified under PCI-DSS. Sériphe does not collect or store banking or credit card data.
2.4 Technical data
We may collect technical data for security, service operation and product improvement, including IP address, browser type, operating system, visited pages and connection dates.
3. Purposes of processing
- Create and manage your user account
- Save and restore your writing projects
- Manage payments and premium access
- Secure and operate the application
- Send account-related communications and important service updates
- Improve the service based on aggregated or anonymized information
4. Legal bases
- Contract performance, when processing is necessary to provide the service
- Legitimate interest, for security, fraud prevention and service improvement
- Consent, for optional analytics cookies and optional marketing communications
5. Data sharing
Sériphe does not sell personal data. Data may be shared only with providers needed to run the service, including Google for OAuth authentication, Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for data storage and hosting or infrastructure providers.
These providers are required to protect the data and use it only for the defined purposes.
6. Retention
Your data is kept while you use Sériphe. If your account is deleted, personal data and content are deleted within 30 days, unless a legal retention obligation applies.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing of, and receive a portable copy of your personal data.

8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or disclosure, including HTTPS encryption, access controls and security monitoring.

10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. In case of material changes, we will notify users by email or through the application. The update date appears at the top of this page.
